Series 1
To start off this series, I read a story about stories - specifically, My Stories! We'll focus on building vocabulary, words with multiple meanings, forming opinions about the story, and describing characters. Be ready, because you'll get to practice reading on your own, too!
Have you ever had writer's block? In this episode, I read the story What Do I Write About? and as we follow the character's quest to think of an idea, you'll get to work on identifying emotions, forming opinions, and recognizing patterns. There'll also be a chance to read on your own!
Don't be fooled by the title - this book is not your ordinary princess story! As I read the story The Three Princesses, you will practice making opinions about the story, connecting to real life, and recalling reasons behind actions, and you'll also get to read a bit on your own.
In this episode, I read the story The Future, and we'll take a look at what may lie ahead! You will work on building vocabulary, making predictions, and - as usual! - reading on your own. You'll also get to work on connecting the story to real life.
Party time! We've reached the last episode of this series, and to celebrate, I read the story Party in the Jungle! Not only will you get to read on your own, but you'll also practice describing characters, identifying image details, and connecting to real life.
Series 2
Check out this paw-some place as I read the story The Cat Hotel. We'll work on understanding character emotions and motivations, recalling days of the week, and describing image details. You also get to read alone - me-wow!
In this episode, I read My Day at School, and you get to practice connecting to real life, identifying character motivation, and reading on your own as we follow the character through a day at school. You'll also look at what makes a good teammate!
Time for an awesome weekend...of reading! As I read the story My Saturday, we'll work on learning new vocabulary, remembering plot events in order, and connecting to real life - and, of course, reading on your own.
In this space-tacular episode, I read Finding Planets, and you'll get to practice identifying emotions and forming your own opinions as well as reading on your own. There's also a chance to work on identifying character motivation!
If you're looking for an inspiring way to finish up this series, Olive the Octopus is the story for you! You'll take a look at conflict and resolution, identifying emotions, and describing characters as I read this book, and you'll also work on reading on your own.
